Campsites are more secluded from others so you are not right next to someone else’s campsite
Turrnipseed is rustic but really nice.

My family and I pitched tents late the weekend of May 26, 2017. Sheaha camp site was booked so this was suggested as overflow for primitive camping. We showed up late (8ish) and pitched our tents. The site was full of families, The park is primitive. Try to NOT use the facility. The restrooms are gross. But that was the least of our worries. Otherwise, the campsite is well maintained. I plan to stay again.
This is the best priced campground in the area, much more reasonable than nearby cheaha state park and access to all the same trails! Highly recommend this campsite and the skyway loop trail that connects to it!
